FAQ – TimeBridge Scheduling Software

What is TimeBridge?
TimeBridge is a new web service designed to be your Personal Scheduling Assistant—a faster, more effective way for busy professionals to schedule meetings. TimeBridge one-step scheduling is the best way to set up meetings with individuals or groups, across time zones, calendar systems and companies. meep meep meep
How does it work?
Using TimeBridge, scheduling a meeting is as easy as sending a single email. You can quickly create a meeting invitation with multiple proposed times, giving more options to your attendees. TimeBridge automatically collects attendee responses, selects the best meeting time, and notifies all participants.
TimeBridge supports integration with your Outlook or Google calendar. This allows TimeBridge to automatically update your calendar when TimeBridge meetings are created or modified. This integration is optional—TimeBridge is designed to provide the full organizer and attendee experience without this integration.
TimeBridge also allows people to share their availability with each other. If someone has shared their availability with you, you'll be able to see when they are free or busy when you schedule meetings with them. TimeBridge allows you to share your availability with people outside of your company. In addition, you can share with people that use other calendar applications. This makes it easy to coordinate with outside contractors, consultants, and partners.
Doesn't my calendar application already do this?
Calendar applications such as Outlook or Google Calendar allow organizers to propose a single meeting time. In most cases, proposing a single time doesn't provide enough flexibility to bring busy professionals together for a meeting. The meeting gets lost in a storm of email while the group tries to work out a time. In addition, calendar applications offer no way to manage the scheduling workflow such conflict resolution, confirmation and follow-up.
TimeBridge works with your calendar, making it workflow-smart. TimeBridge simplifies the social process of bringing busy people together—in person, on the phone, or online. The TimeBridge experience is like having a capable assistant manage your meeting schedule.
Who should use TimeBridge?
TimeBridge is designed for busy people who organize or attend many meetings. If you've ever waded through your Inbox trying to negotiate a meeting time, TimeBridge is for you.
Do the people I invite need special software to respond?
No, attendees need only a web browser to respond to a meeting invitation.
TimeBridge provides the option of integrating your Outlook or Google Calendar with TimeBridge, but this is not required. The provides the benefit of seeing your existing schedule as you respond to an invitation—no more toggling back and forth between the invitation and your calendar.
How do I sign up?
Registration is fast and easy. Within seconds, you can register and send off your first meeting invitation. Register now!
How does TimeBridge work with Microsoft Exchange?
Outlook users can install the TimeBridge Connector for Outlook. The connector works with Outlook—with or without Exchange. This allows you to see your existing schedule in the TimeBridge application and it allows TimeBridge to automatically update your calendar as you create and respond to meeting invitations. In addition, you'll get a convenient toolbar in Outlook that provides shortcuts to TimeBridge.
If your company uses Exchange, TimeBridge can still improve your scheduling experience. Exchange lets users working within the same company share free/busy information. TimeBridge provides more flexibility and supports the entire scheduling workflow. In addition, you can exchange availability information with people that aren't on your Exchange server. This makes it easier to schedule with outside consultants, contactors, and partners.
How much does TimeBridge cost?
There is no charge for the basic TimeBridge service. TimeBridge plans to offer fee-based premium features in the future.
Does TimeBridge support Blackberry/Treo and other mobile devices?
TimeBridge supports standard web browsers, so any user with a browser (on a PC, Mac or other platform) can respond to TimeBridge meeting invitations in a few clicks.
Our initial efforts have focused on integrating Microsoft Outlook and Google Calendar with the TimeBridge service. This allows meeting organizers to use collaborative scheduling features integrated with their existing calendar system. Blackberry and Treo platforms are tightly integrated with Outlook, which allows these devices to read TimeBridge data easily. Google provides a mobile web interface, which allows you to see the latest updates that TimeBridge makes to your Google Calendar.
We're not done yet! We plan to integrate our Web service with additional platforms, including Mac and other Web-based clients, and extend the functionality we offer for mobile devices.
Will I need to upload my calendar or contacts to TimeBridge?
No. Busy professionals have little time to learn new tools. By integrating TimeBridge with your Outlook or Google Calendar application, you'll have instant access to all of your existing data.
